Lincoln: The One Man Show starring Gary Saderup

Unlike ANYTHING you've ever seen on Lincoln (or anybody else)
This one man show blew me away. Having long admired Lincoln, I purchased this DVD because of its subject. The production proved a great and unexpected pleasure, covering the entire length of Lincoln's life, hitting multiple key developmental moments and featuring many amusing anecdotes, as it gathered momentum, swelling toward the the years immediately preceding and during the Civil War. Saderup captures a Lincoln you don't often see or hear about--immensely humorous and affectionate--as well as haunted by the terrible gravity of the decisions forced upon him as President. Steve Rivera's script and Saderup's complex interpretation of its subject move deftly across a full emotional spectrum from the comic to the tragic, revealing Lincoln in a way than deeply humanizes him and thus renders the majesty of his achievements all the more impressive. An added pleasure: Saderup assumes the voices and mannerisms of numerous incidental characters, most of them offering a short, sudden change...

History buffs are going to love this one.
I have seen a few excerpts from this and it looks amazing. By all accounts a extremely well researched, historically accurate as possible depiction of every major event in Lincoln's life. Strangely, you won't find anything in it about vampire hunting. :) Gary is one of my favorite independent artists and I encourage you to support him in these truly remarkable endevours. I will have more to say once my copy finally arrives. The countdown begins!

Watched this and wanted to give him a hug!
He is real and so humble, just like I imagine this great man, Abraham Lincoln to be. The circumstance did not create the hero, he was a hero, ready for the circumstance.
